Saline tattoo removal
A gentle way forward
Saline Tattoo Removal is a gentle method designed to lighten unwanted permanent makeup and tattoo pigment. Using Li-FT® Saline Solution, a concentrated saline solution is introduced into the skin using a cosmetic tattoo machine — it interacts with the implanted pigment and draws it toward the surface, where it is gradually removed as the skin heals naturally.
During treatment
Li-FT® is carefully implanted into the area containing unwanted pigment.
As skin heals
A light scab forms and must fall away naturally — this is the pigment lifting.
Over sessions
With each treatment, the pigment gradually becomes lighter.
Results depend on the age and depth of the pigment, skin type, colour and your desired outcome. Some clients only need the pigment lightened enough for new work, while others want as much removed as possible.
Generally, 1–5 sessions may be required — though every case is different.
Aftercare
Keep the area clean, avoid picking the scab, protect from sun exposure and follow Fjorda's specific aftercare instructions.

Is cosmetic tattooing permanent?
Cosmetic tattooing is considered semi-permanent. Results typically last 1–3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Annual touch-ups help maintain the result.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is applied before and during the treatment. Most clients find it very comfortable — a mild scratching sensation at most.
What's the healing process like?
Brows and lips will appear darker and more intense immediately after treatment. This softens significantly over 7–14 days as the skin heals. The true result is visible after 4–6 weeks.
Can I have cosmetic tattooing while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No — cosmetic tattooing is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
What if I've had previous brow or lip tattooing?
A consultation is required before booking. Fjorda will assess the existing pigment and advise on whether correction, removal or a new treatment is the right approach.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid blood thinners, alcohol and retinols for at least 48 hours prior. Come with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area. Full prep instructions are provided on booking.
What's the downtime?
Most clients return to normal activity the same day. The treated area will look bold for the first few days, then flake and soften. Avoid heavy exercise and swimming for 7–10 days.
Is it safe?
Yes. Fjorda follows strict hygiene and safety protocols. All equipment is single-use and sterile. A full health intake is completed before every treatment.
